Lisa Whited is driven to make a dent in the abysmal statistic that 87% of people worldwide are disengaged at work. She is an author, an international speaker, and a prominent figure in workplace evolution. Her expertise encompasses organizational development, change management, physical workplace design, DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging), and sustainability. With this unique blend, she strives to enhance work experiences for all, fostering an environment of growth, inclusivity, and sustainability.
Recognized internationally as a thought leader on the topic of the future of work, she has received numerous awards for her writing and leadership. Lisa received IFMA’s Distinguished Author Award for her book, Work Better. Save the Planet, a guide for building employee engagement while positively impacting climate change. She is also recognized as being in the top 1% of Mentimeter presenters in the world. Mentimeter is a tool that Lisa uses to ensure that all voices are heard as part of her intentionally-designed inclusive workshops.
Lisa holds an MS in Organization + Management from Antioch University and possesses certifications in mediation, facilitation, interior design, and as a circular economy specialist. Presently, she is pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Development + Change at Fielding Graduate University's School of Leadership Studies.
Lisa helps leaders figure out how to make their hybrid strategies and physical offices work better for their people, their teams, and their managers, to positively impact the company and the planet. She uses change - any type of workplace change - as a way to build employee engagement and improve culture. She has provided consultation services to companies such as Google, Microsoft, WTW, BP, Omnicom, MEMIC, Town & Country Federal Credit Union, Patrons Oxford, Tilson, and Woodard & Curran, among others. Lisa is also a Senior Partner at Global Workplace Analytics, which is led by Kate Lister who is recognized as the leading authority on the future of work.
Lisa is a potato farmer's granddaughter and an engineer's daughter. The first informs her work ethic, and the second explains her love of solving problems. She believes in the art of possibility and has a passion for improving the world of work. Her perspective on how we work is holistic, recognizing its profound impact on our communities, society, and the world at large. When work is better, our world is better.
